Civil Ceremonies

What makes a civil ceremony different

A civil ceremony is a celebration of your loved one’s life; a chance for friends and family to share memories of what made that person so special.

It offers a personalised funeral truly reflecting the life and the wishes of your loved one, combined with the special touches of the families and friends involved.

This means the content of the ceremony is completely up to you and those close to the person you have lost. You may choose to tell their story through favourite songs, readings, treasured photos or perhaps a special video. While it’s not typically a religious service, it may include hymns or religious readings if you wish.

And while it is a time of sadness it can also be a time to smile, laugh and share heartwarming and humorous anecdotes
